Behind the Bottle | Afterglow
What if we cared for the skin on our bodies as thoughtfully as we care for the skin on our faces?
Afterglow was created to answer that question. Built around rosehip, evening primrose, squalane, and a sophisticated aromatic blend, this active botanical body oil was designed to support radiant, deeply nourished skin while transforming body care into a daily ritual.
The Body as an Altar
The sweetness of ripe fruit. The scent of jasmine at dusk. The warmth of a bath, the glow of candlelight, the ritual of fragrant oil on skin. In a culture that teaches us to postpone beauty and self-care until some future version of ourselves arrives, perhaps the deeper invitation is to begin now. A reflection on adornment, embodiment, and the sacred art of tending what is already worthy of love.
The Body Doesn't Know It's Supposed to Be Separate
The professional world rewards compartmentalization. The body belongs to science. The soul belongs elsewhere. Call me a rebel, but I've never experienced people that way. After years of working in both clinical herbalism and hospice care, I've become convinced of something simple: the body doesn't know it's supposed to be separate.
The Pattern Beneath the Symptoms
New clients usually come to me with a list: fatigue, disrupted sleep, digestive complaints, anxiety, brain fog. What years of clinical practice have taught me is that the list is rarely the heart of the matter. Beneath seemingly disparate symptoms, there is often a shared pattern. Clinical herbalism begins by finding that pattern and following it back to the root.
